Bookings Terms and Conditions

COVID 19

Please note that all bookings with an arrival date OUTWITH the Government stated lockdown, i.e., when premises are allowed to open and guests are allowed to travel*, are covered by our standard Cancellation policy (see below). If however the lockdown period is extended to a date beyond your departure date, we will move your booking to a suitable date in the future**, or provide you with a voucher to the value of your existing booking, minus any TP commission rates. Bookings that have been moved to a later date due to Covid 19 restrictions are, once moved, subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions.

* Travel to destinations not covered by a geographical limit, i.e. no distance restrictions are in place ** Depending on availability.

It is of utmost importance that should you feel unwell with Covid symptoms prior to travel, you MUST NOT travel to your destination. If you feel unwell during your stay, you must make plans to travel home immediately. Should that not be possible, and you need to extend your stay with us, you will l be liable for ALL COSTS including, but not limited to; any additional night’s stay, relocation of other guests booked into the room that they are occupying, all food and beverage costs, labour costs associated with providing any additional services. We therefore, advise all guests to ensure that they have ADEQUATE travel insurance. If your stay is cut short due to you experiencing Covid symptoms, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Reservations

Reservations are from 4.00 p.m. on the  day of arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the  day of departure unless agreed otherwise with the property. During Covid 19 pandemic restrictions, and while enhanced cleaning protocols are in place, we will do our best to accommodate early arrivals but this cannot be guaranteed.

Initial Deposit

When making a reservation, an initial deposit is not required presently, although this is reviewed on an ongoing basis.  Card details are preferred at the time of booking.  We accept PayPal, bank transfers,  and cards and request that all balances are paid 5 days prior to arrival.

Damages to Property

We ask that the accommodation is left in a clean and tidy condition and should any items be found to be missing, broken or damaged that you undertake to replace or repay said item. Please bring plastic mattress covers for bed wetters. If bedwetting occurs guests will be charged for a replacement mattress.

Fake Tan Users

Please note that some fake tan products can leave indelible stains on towels and bedlinen, making them unusable. Any towels and bed linen found to be stained indelibly will result in the hirer being charged for replacements.

The number of people occupying the hired accommodation must not exceed the numbers stated at time of booking, without prior arrangement.

Children are extremely welcome but must be supervised at all times.

No liability is accepted by us for loss or damage to hired or passenger’s property, baggage, motor car etc, however caused nor for any accident or mishap to persons whilst on the premises.

Smoking is not permitted in any part of our property.

Dogs are welcome. We request a £10/stay fee for additional cleaning charges.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any persons in the opinion of the owner unsuitable to take charge or anyone causing a disturbance or nuisance. If a refund due to unacceptable behaviour is terminated, no refund will be made.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation the hirer will forfeit the deposit. If less than one months notice is given, full fee is payable and non refundable, unless the same dates are re-let, at which point the balance payment will be refunded. As this is a legal contract it is advisable to insure against cancellation.

Notice of cancellation should be made immediately by email or telephone to The Loch Lomond Guesthouse. Notice of cancellation made by telephone must thereafter be confirmed by email or in writing.

Bookings are made at the owner's discretion and in good faith in the belief that the accommodation will be placed at your disposal for the type and dates stated. If, for any reason, this is not possible through circumstances not under our control (e.g. fire, theft or damage*), we cannot guarantee to provide alternative accommodation. In such an event any monies will be returned.

The proprietor reserves the right to alter or amend the facilities or amenities available without prior notice.

*This excludes communicable diseases, where the guest and the accommodation provider are both unable to fulfil their contract.

Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather conditions, Victoria House will fully apply our cancellation policy.

All bookings are made on the clear understanding that the above constitutes the Terms and Conditions of the booking and that they are accepted as such. Discussions will not be entered into regarding these Terms and Conditions at any time during your stay.
